Introduction

A Risk Heat Map is a data visualisation tool that presents the results of a risk assessment process in a meaningful way.

It represents the risks evaluated by an organisation in terms of their impact and probability plotted against the organisation's Risk Matrix.

From analysing the Risk Heat Map, an organisation can see where the 'hot spots' are - the areas in which there are risks of high impact and/or likelihood. This tool also helps management and staff to communicate and prioritise the risks associated with the business.

This feature is not available in the Basic version.

How-to

  1. Once you have identified and evaluated your risks, decided on the risk treatments and the residual risk ratings, select the Risk Heat Map from 'Manage Risks' under the 'Manage Programme' menu
  2. The Risk Heat Map is generated from your Registers.
  3. Filter to specific Department risks and/or a specific Risk Register
